Find your council’s business growth figures
Search 536 comparable council areas, compare the June 2024 and June 2025 counts, then export a source-labelled row for reporting.
Main-study rank always refers to the national qualifying group of 135 councils. Filtering by state does not recalculate it. Scroll the table sideways on smaller screens.

Local figures are perturbed, so industry components may not add exactly to the published total. A leading division is the one with the largest net increase, not the largest existing division. This does not establish causes, jobs or demand.
Coverage, method and reuse
The 536 areas have matching numeric observations across June 2023, 2024 and 2025 after geographic placeholders and unincorporated areas are excluded. This is not every council in Australia. The ranking uses unrounded annual growth rates. These are council boundaries, not necessarily city or suburb boundaries.
Each CSV row carries original cell references, a stable ABS release/workbook URL, release date, reference period, licence URL and credit. Below-threshold councils remain available when the ranking filter is cleared; they are labelled ineligible rather than ranked.
